YOUR NEW JOURNEY WITH GOD

Now that you have a better understanding of God’s plan for your life, this course will help you to learn what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. In this class, we contrast the difference between being a Christian, which is vaguely defined in the Bible, to that of being an authentic follower of Christ. We believe that the knowledge gained in this course will help you become a committed disciple of Jesus Christ.

The purpose of this class is to help you begin to understand the essence of being a disciple or follower of Jesus Christ.  Jesus wanted people to identify His followers because of their love for one another. Our goal is to help you understand how this mandate was the backbone of the early church and its capacity to grow. We will also help you to better understand how this mandate can be the guiding light in your life.

In this class, we will continue to help you understand this new journey with God, as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to help those who choose to be followers of Jesus Christ learn how to be non-judgmental toward the world. At the same time, we will look at our responsibility to help those we are in community with to be accountable as fellow disciples of Christ.

We hope you’ve enjoyed learning more about Your New Journey With God. As you have come to learn, there’s a big difference between just being a Christian and being a true disciple of Jesus Christ. The purpose of this class is to help each of us better understand what the life of a disciple requires and how to count the cost of true discipleship.
